Nikita Tszyu dominates on debut
4 years ago - Sportingbase
The long-awaited debut of Nikita Tszyu lived up to expectations with a second round knockout of Aaron Stahl at the Nissan Arena in Brisbane.
After a strong start, catching Stahl at ease in the first round it was only a matter of time before Tszyu finished the fight. And he did it in style, with the referee stepping in to stop the bout.
Having made his debut in a main event slot, Tszyu dominated the fight and looked comfortable with a packed crowd and while older brother Tim said “there was a few mistakes” the performance was pleasing for him to see.
It now begs the question about what’s next for the younger Tszyu brother, however the attention now turns to Tim with the announcement by No Limit Boxing today that the WBO mandatory challenger will face Terrell Gausha in Minnesota on March 27.

The bout will be the main event of No Limit Boxing’s American debut in partnership with Premier Boxing Champions.
In the co-main event, Australian-based Irishman Dennis Hogan defeated Wade Ryan by unanimous decision.
Liam Wilson avenged his loss to Joe Noynay with an emphatic second round knockout, following Noynay missing weight in yesterday’s weigh-ins.
Steve Spark returned to the winner’s circle with a sixth round TKO of River Daz. Italian Danilo Creati outclassed Cameron Hammond in a unanimous decision win with Linn Sandstrom out-pointing Ali Jensen.
