NFL Weekly Preview Week 7 2025: Key Injuries, Difference Makers & Projected Upsets
4 months ago - Sportingbase
We begin the seventh week of the 2025 NFL regular season on Thursday. Here are the key injuries, fantasy stars and projected upsets.
Key Injuries
It is at the wide receiver position that we are seeing the most injuries at this time. Pass catchers who were injured in week six and not expected to play week seven include Emeka Egbuka of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (hamstring strain, expected to be out two to three weeks), Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams (ankle/foot), Calvin Ridley of the Tennessee Titans (hamstring strain), Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets (knee), and Marvin Harrison Jr. of the Arizona Cardinals (concussion). Other players out include Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki (on injury reserve with pectoral strain), and San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner (out for the season with an ankle injury).

Fantasy Stars
The top rated quarterback is Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders. He is projected to get 232 passing yards, 51 rushing yards and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys in a NFC East Division battle. The top rated wide receiver is Jaxon Smith Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks, who is projected to get seven catches for 91 yards and one touchdown when the Seahawks host the Houston Texans on Monday night. The top rated running back is Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers, who is projected to get 112 total yards and a touchdown on Sunday night when the 49ers host the Atlanta Falcons.

Projected Upsets
The three underdogs I like this week are the Atlanta Falcons over the injury riddled San Francisco 49ers, the New York Giants and the Indianapolis Colts.
