NFL Weekly Preview Week 13 2024: Key Injuries, Difference Makers & Projected Upsets

We are headed into the thirteenth week of the season. Here are the key injuries, fantasy stars and projected upsets.
Key Injuries
Among the more notable players not playing on American Thanksgiving Thursday include Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson of Rapid City, South Dakota (concussion), and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs of Los Angeles, California (concussion). Meanwhile, Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew of Flowood, Mississippi is out for the rest of the season with a broken collarbone. Another player who has an upper body ailment is Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs of Suwanee, Georgia who has a shoulder injury.
Fantasy Stars
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen of Firebaugh, California is the top rated quarterback. He is projected to get 253 yards passing, 33 yards rushing and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night in prime time. The top rated wide receiver is Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals. Even though he has a tough matchup as the Bengals are facing the Pittsburgh Steelers, the native of Harvey, Louisiana is still projected to get seven catches for 85 yards and one touchdown. Finally, the top rated running back is Derrick Henry of Yulee, Florida. The Ravens have a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, but Henry is still projected to get 106 total yards (98 rushing yards and eight receiving yards) and one touchdown.
Projected Upsets
There are four underdogs I like this week. They are the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles are the three point underdog even though they have won seven straight and the Ravens are coming off a short week. Meanwhile, I like the Jets, Saints and Falcons because they have had more time to prepare than their opponents too. The Saints meanwhile have lots of momentum as they have beaten the Falcons and Browns in their last two games. In New Orleans, we are seeing a resurgence of Taysom Hill under new head coach Darren Rizzi.
