NFL Weekly Preview Week 12 2023: Key Injuries, Difference Makers & Projected Upsets

The 12th week of the 2023 National Football League season is three hours away. Here are the key injuries, difference makers and projected upsets.
NFL Injuries
Running backs is the key position to follow in Week 12. Among those players not expected to play are Kenneth Walker III of the Seattle Seahawks (oblique), De’Von Achane of the Miami Dolphins (knee), Aaron Jones of the Green Bay Packers (knee), and D’Onta Foreman of the Chicago Bears (ankle). Walker III and Achane are on short weeks as the Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers on Thanksgiving Day, and the Miami Dolphins play the New York Jets on Black Friday. The tilt between the Jets and Dolphins will be the first ever game the day after American Thanksgiving in NFL history.
NFL Fantasy Stars
At quarterback, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is expected to have a good day against the Las Vegas Raiders. He is projected to get 290 yards passing, 22 yards rushing, and two touchdowns. At running back, Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers is the projected number one. He is estimated to get 75 yards rushing, 35 yards receiving, for 110 total yards, and one touchdown on Thursday night in Seattle. At wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys is also expected to have a great Thanksgiving Thursday. He is projected to get seven catches for 87 yards and one touchdown against the Washington Commanders.
Projected Upset
The fact that the Cincinnati Bengals are six point favourites to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday is downright stunning. Don’t the odds makers know the Bengals are without Joe Burrow? Last week Jake Browning did not prove enough to me that he can be productive against a formidable Pittsburgh Steelers defense. Take Pittsburgh not only against the spread, but outright too.
