NFL Week 7 Preview: Our Expert Tips & Staking Plan

Another week and another week of coronavirus issues but all games seem like they are going to go ahead as expected but there are certainly some angles we can play with teams that have been affected.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tennessee Titans, Nissan Stadium

I still maintain that the Titans just are not that good. If you take the Bills out of it, their four other wins have come against teams with a combined record of 5-18 and came by an average margin of just three points. One thing they do have an advantage in is coaching and that will show up against those bad teams but the Steelers are not one of those.

Pittsburgh match up very well. Ryan Tannehill’s performance really drops off against the blitz and no team blitzes more than the Steelers. The run defence is also superb and the offence has so many weapons now Chase Claypool and co have emerged.

The Titans struggle against tight ends and Eric Ebron has been getting plenty of targets lately.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Las Vegas Raiders, Allegiant Stadium

Last week I made the mistake of not backing the Broncos after the Patriots practice had been disrupted but I will not be doing the same here. The Raiders offensive line has not practiced all week after Trent Brown – who will miss the game – tested positive. The Buccaneers defence is phenomenal and they could destroy this line even on their best day.

The Bucs were great against the Packers and they can carry that momentum into this one.

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals, Paul Brown Stadium

I completely whiffed on the Browns last week but still believe in them and what they can be. The Bengals just are not close to the same test that the Bengals were and they can bounce back quickly. Baker Mayfield was clearly bothered by his injury last week and he should be much improved.

The Bengals are a decent team with some good parts but all over the field they are outmatched by the Browns.

Detroit Lions @ Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes Benz Stadium

This is not a game I want to pick either side. We saw a much better defensive performance from the Falcons last week but I still do not trust them.

But from the Lions we saw the emergence of D’Andre Swift and he should take over lead back duties as the season goes on. He can get on the scoresheet once again here.
