Provincial racing heads to Newcastle on Saturday. Expecting an advantage to be off rails in running and wider lanes in the straight. Track is currently rated a heavy 9.

Going well this prep, relishing the heavy ground. Better horse when on speed. Figures to be very competitive and gets all favours from the draw in a race without much speed.
3u at $2.5 with Topsport
Newcastle R7 14. Simpkin
First start for the new stable and ran some superb late splits. Won 1L at Tamworth over 1200m after getting well back behind a slow speed. Backed into $2.8 there. Fresh there and kept fresh here, should find the better part of the track late.
