NBA Preview: March 13

As we approach the middle of March, it is time to look at three NBA games on Monday with predictions. Here are the three teams we like.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Dallas Mavericks– 7:30 PM ET

Memphis is second in the West with a record of 40 wins and 26 losses. The Mavericks are eighth in the West at 34 wins and 34 losses.

My Take:

There is no doubt the Grizzlies team is in disarray. They have a tom of injuries, and star player Ja Morant is away from the team after allegedly flashing a gun at a Denver night club recently. I know the Grizzlies won 112-108 over the Mavericks, but since the Denver incident, they have struggled on the road in losses to the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. Take the Mavericks at +1.5, and the under at 224.5. Dallas is much better at home (22-13) than Memphis on the road (12-21), while the Mavericks have been involved in games under 220 points in their last two games.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Sacramento Kings–10 PM ET

Milwaukee leads the East with a record of 48 wins and 19 losses. Sacramento is second in the West with a record of 40 wind and 26 losses.

My Take:

Milwaukee is coming off a 125-116 overtime loss to Golden State on Saturday. Yes, I am aware that the Bucks are among the elite teams in the league, but they are coming off a game where they looked a little vulnerable defensively and now have to play a Kings team which leads the NBA with 121.2 points per game. That’s why you take the Kings at +1.5, and the high over at 244.5.

Phoenix Suns @ Golden State Warriors

Phoenix is fourth in the West at 37 wins and 30 losses. Golden State is sixth in the West at 35 wins and 33 losses.

My Take:

Golden State is much better at home (28-7) than on the road (7-26). On Saturday, the Warriors beat the best team in the entire league. With Kevin Durant out with an ankle sprain, go with the Warriors at -4.5, and the under at 239.5, as the Suns will miss Durant’s 29.5 points per game.
