The move of the Mornington Cup to April has proved to be a major success with the strongest field to face the starter in the race’s history.
The race is headed by 2019 Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare and also 2021 Caulfield Cup runner-up in Nonconformist.
The event also features last start fourth placegetter in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, Hezashocka who is a $3.90 favourite with TopSport.
In-form galloper Right You Are, Annabel Neasham’s Gear Up, John O’Shea’s Benaud and the promising Port Philip are also in the event.
Last start Adelaide Cup winner Rebel Racer is $41 with TopSport which underlines the events depth.

Grahame Begg’s Nonconformist finished second in the race in 2021. He won the Blamey Stakes first-up before he finished eighth in the Australian Cup.
Begg told Racing.Com nothing went right for Nonconformist in the Australian Cup as he was trapped wide for the event after he drew barrier 12.
The Mornington Cup winner gets an automatic start in the Caulfield Cup.
Begg believes Nonconformist is spot on to run a big race. He is $5 with TopSport.
