May stays: Two-year $1 million extension for rising Roosters gun
2 years ago - Sportingbase
Terrell May has agreed to a two-year extension with the Sydney Roosters as the Bondi glamour club prepares for life without veteran enforcer Jared Waerea-Hargreaves beyond this year.
May, 24, quickly became a sizzling free-agent target for many clubs as the developing young prop exploded out the gates to start the 2024 NRL season.

The Sporting Base can reveal this extension is worth $500,000 a season, which is a well-earned upgrade for the prop. Today he is being paid $200,000-a-year and will be on the same coin until November.
The Roosters warded off several interested suitors to score his signature, securing the Samoan international’s services for at least another two seasons through to 2026. This is particularly key for the Sydney club with Waerea-Hargreave shipping off to play in the Super League once the current campaign wraps up.
In particular, the St George Illawarra Dragons and Canterbury Bulldogs most made major plays for the 24-year-old, but The Sporting Base understands he is happy to continue developing under Trent Robinson at the tricolours.
May was vocal about wanting to play alongside his brothers Tyrone and Taylan at the same club but those plans are now on hold after Taylan re-signed with the Panthers.
