Magic deliver biggest NBA comeback of the week

The Orlando Magic have come through with the biggest comeback of the week in the National Basketball Association. This past Thursday, the Magic were down 52-32 to the Memphis Grizzlies with three minutes and 55 seconds into the second quarter before they went on an 86-59 run en route to an impressive 118-111 victory. The game took place at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany.

This was the second of three international games during the 2025-26 NBA regular season. On November 1, the Detroit Pistons beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-110 in Mexico City thanks to 33 points from center Jalen Duren of Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania. Then on Sunday, the Grizzlies beat the Magic 126-109 at the O2 Arena in London, England thanks to a double double by Ja Morant of Dalzell, South Carolina. Morant, who has been in significant trade rumours to date (specifically to the Miami Heat), had 24 points and 13 assists.

In the Magic win over the Grizzlies this past Thursday, four Magic players reached double digits in scoring. Power forward Paolo Banchero of Seattle, Washington, the first overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, had a double double as he scored 26 points and had 13 rebounds. Point guard Anthony Black of Duncanville, Texas had 21 points, small forward Franz Wagner of Berlin, Germany had 18 points, and shooting guard Desmond Bane of Richmond, Indiana had 13 points.

Orlando is currently tied for fifth place in the Eastern Conference with the Philadelphia 76ers. Both teams have a record of 23 wins and 19 losses for a winning percentage of .548. They next play host to the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday.
