The New York Knicks were able to extend their league-best winning streak to eight games this afternoon with a 132-94 win over a Stephen Curry-less Golden State Warriors squad at Madison Square Garden.

It was the first time the Knicks have beaten the Warriors in New York since February 2013.

Immanuel Quickley dropped a team-high 22 points off the bench for New York on 6-of-10 shooting and 5-of-6 from three whilst All-Star hopeful Jalen Brunson had 21 points and five assists.

Quentin Grimes’ emergence continued for the Knicks with the second-year guard finishing with 19 points and four assists on 4-of-8 from three.

R.J. Barrett finished with 18 points and Julius Randle put up 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists as the Knicks secured their first eight-game winning streak since March 2014.

Randle has averaged 25.3 ppg, 11.5 rpg and 4.1 apg throughout the winning streak.

Golden State were outplayed from the opening tip and did not lead throughout the game.

The Knicks leapt out to an eight-point, first-quarter lead which ballooned out to 13 heading into halftime before putting the Warriors to bed with a 32-13 fourth quarter that was mostly garbage time.

The Knicks were plus-25 in the rebounding battle and forced 19 Warrior turnovers whilst outshooting them from inside and outside the arc.

Jordan Poole led the way for the Dubs with a game-high 26 points on 8-of-18 shooting whilst Jonathan Kuminga had 13 points on 5-of-7 from the field.

It was another difficult night shooting for Klay Thompson with the veteran wing finishing with just 11 points on 5-of-12 from the field and 1-of-5 from three.

Draymond Green had seven points, five rebounds and six assists whilst Moses Moody put up 11 points and three rebounds.

The Warriors play in Brooklyn tomorrow and will be without Curry – who is not expected to resume basketball activities until sometime in the new year – and Thompson due to load management.

They are currently 11th in the Western Conference with a 15-17 record.

The Knicks, meanwhile, will host Toronto, who are riding a six-game losing streak, also tomorrow.
