The New York Knicks must have heard the boos from the Knicks fan base on Monday. After losing 114-97 on Monday as a 12.5 point favourite against the Dallas Mavericks, the Knicks not only came back, but delivered the most dominant performance in franchise history in an impressive 120-66 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Knicks win by 54 points eclipsed the 48 point Knicks wins they have accomplished three times before. The Knicks beat the Detroit Pistons on December 20, 1968, beat the Philadelphia 76ers 139-91 on November 29, 1972 and the 76ers again by a score of 130-82 on April 22, 1994.

In the Knicks win over the Nets on Wednesday, New York won every quarter. They outscored Brooklyn 38-20 in the first quarter, 22-18 in the second quarter, 28-18 in the third quarter, and clobbered the Nets 32-10 in the fourth quarter.

Six Knicks reached double digits in scoring. Point guard Jalen Brunson of New Brunswick, New Jersey led the Knicks with 20 points. He was followed by shooting guard Landry Shamet of Kansas City, Missouri (18 points), shooting guard Miles McBride of Cincinnati, Ohio (14 points), center Karl-Anthony Towns of Edison, New Jersey (14 points), small forward Mikal Bridges of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (11 points), and small forward Josh Hart of Silver Spring, Maryland (11 points).
With the win, the Knicks improved to a record of 26 wins and 18 losses for a winning percentage of .591. They are only behind the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. The 54-point win for the Knicks was the second largest margin of victory in the NBA this season. On January 10, 2026, the Charlotte Hornets beat the Utah Jazz by 55 points, 150-95.
