There were two more golfers in contention this week. Scottie Scheffler and England’s Tommy Fleetwood finished tied for third place at -15. It has been an unbelievable season for Scheffler, the native of Ridgewood, New Jersey, as he has won two major championships and four titles overall. However on Sunday. he came up one stroke short. As for Fleetwood, he is by far and a way, the best golfer in the world never to have won on the PGA Tour, and on Sunday, he came up short once again.
With the win, Rose moves up 11 spots in the world from 20th to ninth. He is one of three Europeans ranked in the top 10. The other two are Rory McIlroy of Holywood, Northern Ireland, who is ranked second in the world, and Sepp Straka of Vienna, Austria, who is ranked 10th.
