Josh McGuire Set To Leave The Broncos To Join The Cowboys
7 years ago - Sportingbase
In a surprising turn of events, Brisbane Broncos forward Josh McGuire has announced he will be playing for the North Queensland Cowboys in 2019.
McGuire broke the news to his Brisbane teammates while he is currently on holidays in Fiji.
McGuire was contracted with Brisbane until 2020 and was seeking an extension but obviously, the deal was never proposed. He will join the Cowboys immediately after he returns from holidays and will join the forward pack of Jason Taumalolo, Coen Hess and Matt Scott.
Brisbane have already got a lot of depth with their rookie forward Tevita Pangai jr putting in an amazing effort for the 2018 season.
McGuire also adds a lot of experience to the Cowboys, playing 194 games for Brisbane and will bring the leadership qualities from his representative football appearances when he played for Australia and Queensland.
