Josh Allen continues to sizzle for the Buffalo Bills
3 years ago - Sportingbase
We know how great Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs has been this year. In Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts has had a breakout season too. However, despite the fact that Josh Allen leads the National Football League with 11 interceptions, he is still having a fine regular season after 12 games and is a major reason why the Buffalo Bills lead the AFC East at nine wins and three losses.
On Thursday at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, Allen completed 22 of 33 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns as the Bills defeated the New England Patriots 24-10. In the process, he became the first National Football League quarterback all-time to have three seasons with a minimum of 25 passing touchdowns and a minimum of five rushing touchdowns according to ESPN.
In 2020 in his Pro Bowl year, Allen had 37 touchdown passes and eight rushing touchdowns. In 2021, Allen had 36 touchdown passes and six rushing touchdowns. Now in 2022, Allen has 25 passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns.

Allen entered the game against the Patriots with 23 passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns. He had his 24th touchdown pass of the season on an eight-yard pass to Stefon Diggs of Gaithersburg, Maryland four seconds into the second quarter to put the Bills up 10-7 at the time. Allen then had his 25th touchdown pass of the season on an eight-yard pass to Gerald Davis of Fernandina Beach, Florida with five minutes and 27 seconds left in the first half to put the Bills up 17-7.
Where would you rank Allen among NFL quarterbacks at the moment? I have him at number two behind Mahomes.
