Is it do or die for Paul Gallen?

Paul Gallen (12-1-1) is gearing up for what will be the most decisive fight of his career, and it comes against a relatively unknown boxer in Kris Terzievski (10-1-1).
The former Cronulla Sharks and NSW captain has made strides in the Australian boxing scene, ever since making his debut in 2014.
But next Wednesday’s bout with Terzievski leaves Gallen at a crossroads in his career. If he wins, he etches his name in the heavyweight greats of Australian boxing, with the chance to clinch an Australian title.
If he loses to Terzievski, it could be the end to his illustrious sporting career.
The bout with Terzievski will take place at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, a renowned venue for promoters No Limit Boxing.
“It probably spells the end,” Gallen told foxsports.com.au.
“Without a doubt I’m retiring at the back end of this year. There’s not a lot of months left in the year, so maybe one or two fights left.
“Look, if this fight wasn’t to go the right way, it could be the end. “I’ve just got to make sure I get the job done so I can live to fight another day.”

Being able to get through Terzievski could set Gallen up with long-time rival, Sonny Bill Williams who recently knocked out Barry Hall – a former opponent of the Sharks legend.
While Gallen was held to a six-round draw, Williams made light work of his opponent, finishing in the first round.
It could be one of the biggest all-Australian fights in the country’s history. The two have gone back and forth, sending shots at each other at any chance. So much so, the pair both work for Channel Nine, and have had plenty of opportunities to discuss potential dates.
Whether we see the fight or not, it is currently one of the most-anticipated bouts domestically.
Meanwhile, No Limit Boxing has produced a stacked card.
Nikita Tszyu is looking to pick up his second professional victory after a second round knockout of Aaron Stahl in Brisbane in March.
The brother of Tim Tszyu, is hoping to make a career of his own and will be ready for Melbourne’s undefeated Mason Smith (5-0).
Harry Garside is another main-event caliber fighter, and is fresh off a 10-round war with Maeur Matet at the Hordern Pavillion in Sydney.
He will face 30-year-old Layton McFerran (5-1) with the Australian Lightweight title up for grabs.
