Hamilton the scene for Kiwis, Kangaroos Pacific Cup Final clash
The Kangaroos and Kiwis will meet for the second time in seven days when they take each other on in the Pacific Cup Final at Hamilton’s FMG Stadium on Saturday.
Payne Haas and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui are back in the front row after sitting last week out with Jake Trbojevic and Thomas Flegler sitting out.
Liam Martin also returns in the back row with Reuben Cotter reverting to the interchange and Nicho Hynes dropping out.
Michael Maguire has named the same 17 that went down to the Kangaroos a week ago.
The Australians enter the clash as favourites with bookmakers anticipating Mal Meninga’s men to finish their Pacific Championships campaign undefeated.
Kumuls look to bounce back vs. Fiji Bati in Pacific Bowl Final
Port Moresby will host the Pacific Bowl Final between the Papua New Guinea Kumuls and Fiji Bati on Sunday afternoon.
Sunia Turuva (calf) remains sidelined for Fiji with Jason Qareqare on the wing and Mikaele Ravalawa at centre.
Kitione Kautoga (back) returns onto the bench alongside Watisoni Waqanisaravi and Pio Seci with Mesake Ravonu (head knock), Noah Nailagoliva, and Sirilo Lovokuro dropping out.
Rodrick Tai (knee) returns into the centres for the Kumuls with Benji Kot dropping out.
Liam Horne, Junior Rop, and Nixon Putt have all been promoted onto the interchange with Jacob Alick, Wellington Albert, and Keven Appo missing out.
Fiji are the favourites heading into this one having taken care of business a week ago at the same venue.
