According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN on Thursday, the Atlanta Hawks have traded small forward Cam Reddish of Norristown, Pennsylvania, forward Solomon Hill of Los Angeles, California, and a second round pick in the 2025 National Basketball Association draft to the New York Knicks for small forward Kevin Knox of Phoenix, Arizona and a first round draft pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Of the three players involved in the deal, Reddish is the most significant name despite the fact he is currently battling an ankle injury.

Reddish is currently averaging a career-high 11.9 points per game after 34 games so far in 2021-22 with the Hawks. In his first three NBA seasons, Reddish has been very consistent as he has averaged in the double digits in his previous two seasons as well. In 2019-20, he had 10.5 points per game, and in 2020-21, he had 11.2 points per game.

When it comes to point production, Reddish had his best game on December 22, when he scored 34 points in a 104-98 Atlanta loss to the Orlando Magic. However, this may not have been Reddish’s best game from a defensive standpoint as he was a -18 on the court. In 2021-22, he has a field goal percentage of .402, a three-point percentage of .379, a free throw percentage of .900, and is averaging 2.5 rebounds per game, 1.1 assists per game, and one steal per game.

Hill tore his hamstring on December 5 against the Charlotte Hornets and is out for the remainder of the season. In addition to the Hawks, he has played for the Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies, and Miami Heat.

Knox has played the last four seasons with the Knicks. In his rookie season of 2018-19, he averaged 12.9 points per game.

The Knicks are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference at 21 wins and 21 losses. The Hawks are in 12th place in the Eastern Conference at 17 wins and 23 losses.
