Golf: Three golfers who could win the Wyndham Championship

The FedEx Cup Playoffs are fast approaching. However, before that, we have one more regular PGA Tour stop to take place. Here are the golfers we like for the 2025 Wyndham Championship.

Matt Fitzpatrick

The native of Sheffield, England who won the 2022 United States Open, is the betting favourite this week at +2000. Fitzpatrick is coming off a marvelous European swing as he finished fourth at the Scottish Open and fourth at the British Open. Fitzpatrick has made his last 10 cuts and is now 40th in the world. There is one thing to keep in mind before selecting Fitzpatrick. Even though he has become a household name in international golf, Fitzpatrick has had significant more success on the European Tour where he has won nine times, than the PGA Tour where he has won twice. Fitzpatrick’s only other PGA Tour win was the 2023 RBC Heritage where he beat Jordan Spieth in a playoff.

Ben Griffin

According to Golfbet News, Ben Griffin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina is the only player in the field with multiple wins in 2025. You could make the argument that he has 1 1/2 victories. That is because he won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with Andrew Novak of Raleigh, North Carolina in the PGA Tour’s lone team event. Griffin’s other win in 2025 was the Charles Schwab Challenge. 

Robert MacIntyre

Here is another golfer who had great success in Europe earlier this summer. The native of Oban, Scotland finished seventh at the British Open where he reached double digits at -10.
