The 2025 Memorial Tournament is set to begin on Thursday from the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. The tournament is very prestigious not only because it is one of the eight signature events on the PGA Tour, but because it was created by Jack Nicklaus, who is the all-time leader in major victories with 18. Here are the three golfers we like this week the most.

Scottie Scheffler

It should be zero surprise that we like the world number one. Scottie Scheffler (+280) of Ridgewood, New Jersey is the defending champion of the Memorial Tournament. Last year he posted a winning score of -8 and beat Colin Morikawa of Los Angeles, California by a stroke. Scheffler has won two tournaments in 2025. He won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and PGA Championship.

Collin Morikawa

The two-time major champion has finished in second place at the Memorial Tournament twice. In addition to posting a four round score of -7 last year, Morikawa lost to Patrick Cantlay of Long Beach, California in 2021. Morikawa (+1600) is currently fourth in the world, and needs to be considered a contender every week when his approach game is at his best. His major titles were the 2020 PGA Championship and 2021 British Open.

Patrick Cantlay

The world number 15 is the only golfer to win the Memorial Tournament twice in the last decade. In addition to winning the aforementioned title in 2021, Cantlay (+2200) won the 2019 Memorial Tournament as well. Six years ago, Cantlay had a score of -19 and beat Australian golf star Adam Scott by two strokes.
