G1 racing head to Rosehill on Saturday with the meeting headed by Race 8 the Golden Rose for the 3yo’s. Track is currently a Soft 5 and with the rail in the true position expect a slight on pace on rails bias.

Race 2 13. Verbek Resumed brilliantly from a break last start. Got back and was wide in the run, before running a superb L200 to finish 4^th 3.4L. 2nd up out to 1300m suits. Maps to enjoy a nice run close to the speed off the rails. 1u at $8 with TopSport 15. Kote Trialled well on the dry track before resuming. Forgive first-up keen and held up, looked to have plenty left when out late. Second up led and ran very good time when winning at Canterbury. 1.5u at $4.6 with TopSport

Race 4 5. Herman Hesse Gets in far better at the weights here than the favourite. He won carrying 61 last start, carrying 54 here that rating looks excellent. Draws the rails and Collet will have options to keep him comfortable. Automatic bet off last start ratings. 1.5u at $4.5 with TopSport

Race 6 9. Opal Ridge Steps up from a highway to listed company. Complete forgive 2 back when 4 wide no cover in the G2 Silver Shadow. Start prior 2^nd 1.5L in strong company when held up badly. Has the upside here. Barrier 1 big tick. 2u at $3 with TopSport

Race 8 16. In Secret Sets up beautifully here. Beat Zougotcha first-up after getting back and running on well, SP $3. Ran on from midfield last start winning impressively when $3.9 into $3.2. Jmac on here, draws to enjoy the run of the race and out to 1400m third-up ready to peak. Tough to beat. 3u at $2.5 with TopSport
