Four NFL trades in last two days

According to nfl.com, there have been four trades over the last 48 hours. Let’s take an in-depth look at the deals that have taken place.
Pierre Strong Jr. for Tyrone Wheatley Jr.
On Sunday, the New England Patriots traded running back Pierre Strong Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas to the Cleveland Browns for offensive tackle Tyrone Wheatley Jr. of Buffalo, New York. Strong Jr. spent 15 games with the Patriots as a rookie in 2022. He had 10 rushes for 100 rushing yards and one touchdown, and seven catches for 42 yards. Strong Jr.’s touchdown came in a 27-13 Patriots win over the Arizona Cardinals on December 12. He had a three-yard run which closed out the scoring and a career-high 70 rushing yards.
Wheatley Jr. has not played a NFL regular season game as of yet. He has been on the practice squads of the Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders and Browns since May of 2022.
Kevin Dotson
On Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded guard Kevin Dotson of West Point, Mississippi to the Los Angeles Rams with a fifth round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and a sixth round draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft for a fourth round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and a fifth round draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Dotson spent the last three seasons in Pittsburgh. He had a fumble recovery with the Steelers in his final game with them, a 28-14 Pittsburgh win over the Cleveland Browns on January 8, 2023.
Vederian Lowe
On Monday, the Minnesota Vikings traded offensive tackle Vederian Lowe of Rockford, Illinois to the New England Patriots for a sixth round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Lowe was a rookie in 2022.
Dustin Hopkins
On Monday, the Los Angeles Chargers traded kicker Dustin Hopkins of Austin, Texas to the Cleveland Browns for a seventh round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Browns become the third NFL team he has played for following seven seasons with Washington from 2015 to 2021, and two seasons with the Chargers in 2021 and 2022. Hopkins made nine of 10 field goals and all 12 converts with the Chargers last season. He did not play a full season last year due to a hamstring injury.
