3-year-old filly Forbidden Love produced an eye catching trial this morning finishing in third ahead of her Magic Millions assault.

The filly was never asked to let down and was under a hard hold from jockey Tommy Berry with her sights set firmly on the $2 million dollar 3-year-old classic.

“She’s got that good residual fitness from her Spring campaign and she’s going very well” Berry said.

“She’s definitely come back in as good as she went out, very exciting time ahead for her.”

It was the first time the Richard & Michael Freedman trained galloper stepped out since finishing a gallant third in the Group 1 Empire Rose during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

“She had a few weeks spell in Victoria after the Empire Rose,” Co trainer Richard Freedman said.

“Trialled very well today and she didn’t have much of a blow after. She looks and feels well.”

Connections of Forbidden Love will look to either head to the races again or trial again before she takes her place in the $2 Million dollar 3-year-old feature on January 16.

She is currently rated a $9.50 chance in the TopSport market for the Magic Millions 3-year-old Classic behind Isotope ($3.10) and Away Game ($6).

The top two in the market faced off in the Gold Edition plate over the weekend. Where Isotope was able to produce a barnstorming finish to nab Away Game on the line.
