Five possible destinations for Odell Beckham Jr.

Even though the NFL Trade Deadline is over, there is one NFL franchise that will get an elite player sometime in the month of December. That is when Odell Beckham Jr., also known in NFL circles as OBJ, is set to return from his torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered during the Super Bowl, a 23-20 Rams win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and sign with a contender as a free agent. In the Super Bowl, Beckham had two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. The major score was a 17-yard touchdown pass from Matt Stafford, which opened the scoring with six minutes and 22 seconds left in the first quarter. Here are five possible destinations for Beckham Jr.

5) Minnesota Vikings

I don’t see this happening because the Vikings already have two great receivers in Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. Yet, the Twitter World was filled with these rumours very recently.

4) Green Bay Packers

The Packers are in need of a receiver after losing Davante Adams in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders. Beckham Jr. will have a chance to play with reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, but with the Packers at 3-6 and now on a five-game losing streak, it will not help their cause.

3) Los Angeles Rams

Last season the Rams signed Beckham Jr. after he was released by the Cleveland Browns. In eight games, he had 27 catches for 305 yards and five touchdowns. There is no doubt that Rams head coach Sean McVay wants OBJ back, but have the Rams’s offense sputtered too much this season for Los Angeles to be a solid contender for Beckham Jr.’s services? I think so.

2) New York Giants

There is a strong possibility that Beckham Jr. could return to the Giants where he started his NFL career. In his first three NFL seasons, Beckham Jr. was selected to the Pro Bowl, and it was as a Giant, he made one of the most spectacular one-handed catches in NFL history. New York is 6-2 and has completely exceeded expectations in the first half of the season.

1) Dallas Cowboys

What Cowboys General Manager Jerry Jones wants, he typically gets. When news broke out this week that Jones wanted Beckham Jr., there was immediate speculation that the Cowboys would be a front runner. Remember Dallas has a history of signing a high-profile receiver. In 2006, Jones signed Terrell Owens to a three-year deal worth $25 million after Owens had a controversial time with the Philadelphia Eagles.
