Duncan Robinson sets Heat record for most three-pointers in a postseason game

Duncan Robinson of York, Maine set the Miami Heart franchise record on Sunday for most three-pointers in a playoff game with eight. The 27-year-old achieved the mark five days before his 28th birthday, in a 115-91 Miami clobbering over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. With the win, the Heat lead the Eastern Conference first round playoff series 1-0.
Robinson made his eight three-pointers in nine attempts. He finished the game with a game-high 27 points. Robinson was among three Heat players to have the old record with seven three-pointers. He was tied with Damon Jones of Galveston, Texas, and Mike Miller of Mitchell, South Dakota. Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard has the NBA playoff record for most three-pointers in a playoff game with 12, which was set on June 1, 2021.
The Hawks were one of two road teams to qualify for the NBA Playoffs on Friday night in the play-in tournament. They defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 107-101 to become the eighth seed in the East. In the West, the New Orleans Pelicans became the number eight seed, following a 105-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The best NBA playoff game on the weekend was in Boston on Sunday. That is where Jayson Tatum delivered with a buzzer beater in a 115-114 Celtics win over the Brooklyn Nets.
In other game one action, the Phoenix Suns beat the Pelicans 110-99, the Golden State Warriors beat the Denver Nuggets 123-107, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Toronto Raptors 131-111, the Minnesota Timberwolves upset the Memphis Grizzlies 130-117, the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Chicago Bulls 93-86, and the Utah Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks 99-93. The Mavericks currently do not have their star player, Luka Doncic, who is out with a calf injury.
