Devin Haney comes out with a bold claim
4 years ago - Sportingbase
The WBC’s lightweight titleholder, Devin Haney, has made a peculiar tweet claiming Eddy Reynoso’s “whole camp” is on performance-enhancing drugs.
This includes his foe Ryan Garcia but also boxing’s pound-for-pound best fighter Canelo Alvarez.
Eddy Reynoso whole camp on that shit 💉

It is uncertain what sparked Haney’s tweet but the 22-year-old with a 26-0 record must be confident to make his opinions public.
After a Twitter user called Haney’s tweet “the boldest statement I’ve seen,” Haney replied saying “they scared to say it…I’m not”.

Haney and Garcia have a notable history with one another. Having fought numerous times during their amateur careers, the pair have been tipped to fight each other on the professional stage.

The California native, Haney has continued to claim that Garcia is “ducking” him. He even retweeted a user’s comment yesterday which justifies these claims.
Can’t believe people let it slide that Ryan ducked devin Haney

The tweet adds more fire to the duo’s rivalry with a match-up more likely after Garcia won the WBC Interim lightweight strap against Luke Campbell in January. Seeing as Haney is the main champion, it will be interesting to see whether the WBC calls for the two fighters to face off in the near future.
As for Reynoso’s other boxers, Alvarez may not like these claims after he tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol in 2018 ahead of his fight with Gennady Golovkin. He was temporarily suspended after two positive tests and later given a backdated six-month suspension.
