Demarcus Robinson and Daniel Kilgore go on COVID-19 list after getting their hair cut

Next Sunday was supposed to be the biggest day in the lives of Kansas City Chiefs center Daniel Kilgore of Kingsport, Tennessee, and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson of Fort Valley, Georgia. Both Kilgore and Robinson were to play and represent the Chiefs and the AFC in the Super Bowl on February 7 in Miami. However, their Super Bowl appearance at this time is in jeopardy because of a trip to their barber to get the hair cut before their big day.

That is because the barber of Kilgore and Robinson tested positive for coronavirus this past Sunday. Kilgore and Robinson now have to go into a mandatory five-day isolation period, and have negative tests before they are allowed to rejoin the Chiefs for practice.

Most years teams would be traveling to the Super Bowl location early in the week and practice in the Super Bowl city, and attend many different festivities including Media Day. Not this year because of coronavirus. The Chiefs will not be traveling to Tampa until Saturday according to Tom Pelissero of nfl.com.

This is just the latest reminder that we are still living in a pandemic and simple trips to even get your hair cut are not necessary at this time. In the state of Missouri, there have been 499,523 total cases of coronavirus, and 7,383 deaths. There are also 296,525 active cases of coronavirus in Missouri, with 195, 615 recovered.

So far in 2020, Robinson was having a career-season. He had career highs in receptions (45), and receiving yards (466), to go along with three touchdowns. However, Robinson has only had one catch for 14 yards in two playoff games to date.
