According to the Associated Press on Tuesday, Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark of Bakersfield, California has been suspended two games for accepting the conviction of two counts of possession of an assault weapon. The misdemeanour reportedly happened in Clark’s home state of California, specifically the city of Los Angeles.

Clark will miss the Chiefs games against the Tennessee Titans on November 6 and the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 13. Both games are to be played in Kansas City, with the game against the Titans in primetime. In week eight, the Chiefs have a bye. The first game Clark would be eligible to play would be November 20 in Los Angeles, against the Chargers. Ironically, it is in the same city where Clark faced legal trouble.

In seven games this season, Clark has had 15 combined tackles (eight solo tackles and seven assisted tackles), four tackles for a loss, seven quarterback hits, three sacks and one safety. The safety came in the Chiefs last win on Sunday, a 44-23 win over the San Francisco 49ers, in a rematch of Super Bowl LIV, which the Chiefs won 31-20.

Speaking of Super Bowl LIV, Clark was on that Chiefs team that won the Super Bowl two years ago. In the game, he had two quarterback hits, one sack, one tackle for a loss, and one solo tackle.

The Chiefs lead the AFC West with a record of five wins and two losses. They are the number two seed in the American Football Conference, only behind the 6-1 Buffalo Bills.
