CEPHEUS IS READY TO HANDLE HIS BIG WEIGHT

MURWILLUMBAH trainer, Matt Dunn, is confident his in-form galloper Cepheus can concede between four and ten kilograms to his rivals and win the $3 million Big Dance (1600m) at Randwick on Tuesday.
The OTI owned Cepheus has won three of his past four starts including the Group 2 Shannon Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill two starts ago. He followed that with a win in the Alan Brown Stakes (1400m) at Randwick last start.

Champion heavyweight jockey Nash Rawiller who has won on him at his past two starts will again be onboard Cepheus who will carry 62 kilos.
Cepheus secured a spot in the Big Dance with a win in the South Grafton Cup last winter.
Dunn conceded that the weight was an issue but felt that drawing barrier one made the task a bit easier.
“I think he can get it done. I don’t think that’s enough to stop him the way he is at the moment, particularly from that gate. Nash will do his thing and the horse will do the rest,” Dunn told Racing And Sports.
“He is bouncing, he’s really happy. He is going into this race probably as good as I’ve ever had him for any race.”
Cepheus is $4.80 favourite with PlayUp.
