Baseball’s Hall of Fame class was announced on Tuesday according to Rogers Sportsnet. The two players going to Cooperstown this year are outfielders Carlos Beltran of Manati, Puerto Rico and Andruw Jones of Willemstad, Curacao.

Beltran played two decades of Major League Baseball from 1998 to 2017. He was with the Kansas City Royals from 1998 to 2004, the Houston Astros in 2004 and 2017, the New York Mets for seven seasons from 2005 to 2011, the San Francisco Giants in 2011, the St. Louis Cardinals in 2012 and 2013, the New York Yankees from 2014 to 2016, and the Texas Rangers in 2016.

A nine-time All-Star, Beltran had a significant accomplishment in his first full year of Major League Baseball and his last. He was the 1999 American League Rookie of the Year with the Royals, and won the 2017 World Series with the Astros. In his career, Beltran batted .279 with 435 home runs and 1587 runs batted in. During 2586 games, 9768 at bats and 11031 plate appearances, Beltran scored 1582 runs and had 2725 hits, 565 doubles, 78 triples, 312 stolen bases, 1084 walks, 4751 total bases, 18 sacrifice bunts, 110 sacrifice flies, an on base percentage of .350 and a slugging percentage of .486.

Jones played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1996 to 2012. He was with the Atlanta Braves for 12 seasons (1996 to 2007), the Los Angeles Dodgers (2008), the Texas Rangers (2009), the Chicago White Sox (2010), and the New York Yankees (2011 and 2012).

A five-time National League All-Star (2000, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 with the Braves), Jones led the Major Leagues with 51 home runs in 2005, and the American League with 128 runs batted in, also during 2005. In his career, he batted .254 with 434 home runs and 1289 runs batted in. During 2196 games, 7599 at bats and 8664 plate appearances, Jones scored 1204 runs, and had 1933 hits, 383 doubles, 36 triples, 152 stolen bases, 891 walks, 3690 total bases, six sacrifice bunts, 71 sacrifice flies, am on base percentage of .337, and a slugging percentage of .486.
