Can anyone beat Scottie Scheffler now at the 2025 PGA Championship?

Heading into the 2025 PGA Championship, the co-betting favourites were Scottie Scheffler of the United States and Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland. I gave the slight edge to McIlroy based on his past success at Quail Hollow. However, after 54 holes, the best golfer has simply been Scheffler, who put a beat down on the North Carolina golf course, just like what we saw in Dallas at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson earlier this month. Simply put that Scheffler is back after injuring his hand making Christmas dinner, and is back in a big way.
Scheffler was electrifying on Saturday, especially on the back nine. The world number one went four-under-par. He did the impossible by going -2 on the Green Mile (what they call 16, 17 and 18) and registered an eagle on the par four 14th hole as he had a score of two. This was the second eagle of the week for Scheffler. In round one, he had a score of three on the par five on the 15th hole. But the thing was, Scheffler was unable to build momentum from the sensational score as he double bogeyed the 16th hole.
At this time Scheffler is -11. He has a three stroke lead over Sweden’s Alex Noren. The real question at this time is can he be caught? My instinct says no. Scheffler is in the zone at the moment. Realistically, if he shoots a 67 today, then he will not be caught. Scheffler is first in the world for a reason. On Saturday we saw his exceptional combination of driving, putting and poise. That combination should give him his third career major title.
