Bucks take lead in 2021 NBA Finals

The Milwaukee Bucks are only one win away from their first NBA title in half a century. On Saturday, the Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 123-119 in game five of the 2021 NBA Finals. With the win, the Bucks take a three games to two lead in the best out of seven series.

Bucks star power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo of Athens, Greece led Milwaukee in scoring with 32 points. He made 14 of 23 field goals, had nine rebounds, and six assists.

One area in his game where Antetokounmpo continues to struggle is from the free-throw line. He made only four of 11 free throw attempts on Saturday. The Greek Freak seemed to be rattled by a Suns crowd that keeps counting to 10 when he attempts a free throw. Antetokounmpo will not be distracted in game six because the sixth game of the series is in Milwaukee, but could be impacted again in a possible game seven if the Suns win game six, as the series will shift to Phoenix.

Antetokounmpo needs to be careful when attempting baskets from the charity stripe in the rest of the series. That is because on a few occasions in the NBA Finals, Suns fans have been counting to 12. The rule states that players are allowed 10 seconds for a free throw, and if you take longer, it is a violation, and you do not get a free throw attempt. However, the issue with the rule is that it is subjective, and rarely called by the officials.

Another player on the Bucks who had a monster game five was point guard Jrue Holiday, who had a double-double (27 points and 13 rebounds). He was also a +14 which led all players on both sides. Meanwhile, Khris Middleton had 29 points and now has 69 points over the last two games.
