Yoshinobu’s 11/11 will not read well in the form guide but it was a total forgive. The Ming Dynasty winner was totally unwanted by the market drifting from his opening quote of $2.9 to jump $4.2. He settled 2nd last and looked to have a lot to do at the top of the straight. He showed an outstanding turn of foot to get to race favourite Roselyn’s Star by the 100m and strode away for a 1.6L win.He ran 0.03s quicker than the speedy Willaidow in the G3 JRA Plate in the following race. The market suggested he would have improvement to come and it was interesting to hear Chris Waller say that he has big plans for him likely being set for the G1 Aus Guineas. Whether he is up to the likes of Beiwacht is tough to determine but he is definitely one to follow on his way there having a race fitness advantage.
