Our form analyst has looked over the replays & sectional times from Derby day and has placed his list of horses you must follow below.
QUEEN AIR
Visually this lightly raced daughter of Toronado put in the best VRC Oaks trial. She was easily the best finished but she was the only horse to break 13 seconds for the last 200 metres. Still, she was also strong after the line and the Wakeful is always the best trial for Thursday’s classic.
TRIPLE MISSILE
He’s racing very well. Maybe the run was left a bit late but he was beaten by a good horse and possibly being closer to the fence was the better spot. He’s got a win coming shortly. He produced the third fastest last 200 metres for the meeting recording 11.98 seconds.
BUENOS NOCHES
Similar to above but being out that wide wasn’t the spot to be down the straight on Saturday. Great effort to finish third behind In Secret to complete an excellent spring campaign.
ZAPATEO
RV stewards reported she bounded at the start and was slow to begin as a result she gave away a massive start in a race. She charged home and easily recorded the fastest last 200 metres for the meeting with an 11.53 second close.
