Bills sign wide receiver Elijah Moore

The Buffalo Bills attempted to improve their offense a little further on Wednesday with the signing of wide receiver Elijah Moore of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The terms of the contract are one year and $5 million maximum. Remember, National Football League contracts are not guaranteed, and many of them contain numerous conditions.

Moore is joining his third NFL franchise. He previously played two seasons each with the New York Jets (2021 and 2022) and Cleveland Browns (2023 and 2024).

This past season, Moore had 61 catches for 538 receiving yards and one touchdown. The major score was for 30 yards from quarterback Jameis Winston of Bessemer, Alabama, and came in a convincing 35-14 Browns loss to the New Orleans Saints on November 17.

Moore now joins a Bills wide receiver group filled with depth and experience. It includes Khalil Shakir of Murrieta, California, Keon Coleman of Opelousas, Louisiana, Canadian Joshua Palmer of Brampton, Ontario, and Curtis Samuel of Brooklyn, New York. Palmer joined the Bills in the offseason from the Los Angeles Chargers. 

It was a tough season for Cleveland a year ago as they only won three games all season long. The Browns are in the process of trying to figure out what they plan to do with the quarterback position going forward. Do they go with DeShaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders? With five quarterbacks as options for the Browns, do not be surprised if one or two Browns quarterbacks are traded and they get some more offensive help at other positions, including wide receiver.
