The Buffalo Bills have improved to a record of three wins and zero losses. On Thursday night, the Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-21 at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.

Heading into the contest, the Bills were expected to win by 12.5 points in what many were predicting a big time blowout. What we saw from the Dolphins was actually a valiant effort.

The game was actually tied at 21 in the fourth quarter. The Bills had possession of the football and their drive continued when Dolphins defensive tackle Zach Sieler was given a 15 yard penalty for roughing Bills kicker Cameron Johnston of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Quite frankly, it was a little surprising the Bills had to punt at all because on the previous play, Dolphins cornerback Jack Jones should have been called for pass interference. As the drive was allowed to continue, the Bills got a game-winning touchdown on a 15-yard pass from Josh Allen to Khalil Shakir.

The Dolphins had the opportunity to tie the game at 28. They put together an impressive drive themselves. However, Terrel Bernard intercepted a Tua Tagovailoa pass with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Bills completed the scoring with a 48 yard field goal by Matt Prater.

Allen completed 22 of 27 passes for 213 passing yards and three touchdowns. He also had four rushes for 25 rushing yards. It was also another strong game for Bills running back James Cook of Miami, Florida. He had 118 total yards and a major score from a two yard run.
