Rosehill Race 3 – Yao Dash
Yao Dash returns to Sydney after a quick Queensland campaign and looks to have found a nice race, particularly with the talented Subedar being a scratching . It is a genuine concern that he may be coming to the end of his campaign but he is in the right yard for keeping horses minds on the job.
There appears to be a severe lack of speed on paper, which will suit a Waterhouse and Bott horse deep into a preparation. The 1400m will stretch him as far as he can go but if he can get an easy time of it in front, I see him being very hard to run down.

Rosehill Race 5 – Home Affair
Expect to see big improvements from this I am Invincible colt from the Waller yard when he steps out for his 2nd race start today. After a dominant trial win he was sent out favourite in the Canonbury Stakes on this track. He found the lead with ease and skipped away at the top of the turn and looked home until he knocked up 100m from home and was run down by Zethus, a horse he meets again here.
With that run under his belt we can expect him to finish stronger the final furlong and secure his start in the Slipper.

Rosehill Race 7 – King’s Legacy
This crop of 3yo colts have proven difficult to judge as not one of them have been able to consistently hold it over the others dating back to their 2yo season. In today’s G2 Hobartville Stakes I am going with the value in King’s Legacy. His $23 quote doesn’t reflect the fact that he is a multiple G1 winner and the Snowden yard have sounded bullish about his return to form after his latest trial win.
After winning the Sires Produce and Champagne Stakes last autumn, he was a little disappointing in a campaign that saw him finish third in the Golden Rose. The Snowden camp have applied the blinkers for the first time and are confident he is in great form. Jason Collett takes the ride after being on board for both his trials. If he gets some luck from a wide gate he may be a knockout chance.
