Bernhard Langer decides his final Masters will be in 2024

According to Reuters on Thursday, golf legend Berndard Langer of Anhausen, Germany will be participating in his final Masters in 2024. At 66 years of age, Langer is the best Champions Tour golfer of all-time as he has 46 tournament victories in the professional men’s golf tour for golfers aged 50 years and older.
Masters champions receive a lifetime invitation to the first major of the year. Langer received his lifetime invitation in 1985 when he won a golf major for the first time in his career. He shot a four round score of -6, and beat three multiple major champions by two strokes in the process. Those in second place were five-time major champion Seve Ballesteros of Pedrena, Spain, four-time major champion Raymond Floyd of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Curtis Strange of Norfolk, Virginia. Ballestaros won the 1979, 1984 and 1988 British Open and 1980 and 1983 Masters. Floyd won the 1969 and 1982 PGA Championship, 1976 Masters, and 1986 United States Open, and Strange won the 1988 and 1989 United States Open.
Langer then won his second Masters in 1993. There he shot a four round score of -11 and beat American Chip Beck of Fayetteville, North Carolina by four strokes.
It should be noted that Langer only won three times on the PGA Tour. His only other win came at the 1985 RBC Heritage (at the time known as the Sea Pines Heritage) where he beat American Bobby Wadkins in a playoff. As mentioned, it is the Champions Tour, where Langer had made a huge impact. Of his record 46 wins, Langer has an amazing 12 major titles.
