Ben Griffin wins the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship

Ben Griffin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina has won the 2025 World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico. For Griffin it was his third PGA Tour win of 2025 as he previously won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans (the only all-men’s team event on the PGA Tour) with Andrew Novak of Raleigh, North Carolina, and the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas.
Griffin posted a winning score in Mexico of -29. Chad Ramey of Fulton, Mississippi and Sami Valimaki of Nokia, Finland were in second pace with a score of -27. Garrick Higgo of Johannesburg, South Africa and Trevor Cone of Charlotte, North Carolina were tied for fourth place with a score of -26.
In the first round, Griffin had an opening round score of seven-under-par 65. That was followed by a second round score of seven-under-par 65 too. Then in then third round, Griffin had a score of six-under-par 66, and a fourth round score of nine-under-par 63.

Griffin had one eagle in the tournament. It came in the second round on the first hole. With the win, Griffin moved into the top 10 in the Official World Golf Rankings. He moved from 12th to ninth.
In 2025, Griffin has won the second most tournaments on the PGA Tour in 2025. He is behind Scottie Scheffler of Ridgewood, New Jersey, who has won six tournaments. In 2025, Scheffler won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, the 2025 PGA Championship, the 2025 Memorial Tournament, the 2025 British Open, the 2025 BMW Championship, and the 2025 Procore Championship.
Griffin is the second golfer to win a PGA Tour event in Mexico. Brian Campbell of Newport Beach, California was the first in February when he won the Mexico Open.
