Alligator Blood showed why he is a star in the making with a dominant display in the Australian Guineas.
Ryan Maloney (Alligator Bood – 1st)
What a one-act affair in the end. It was unbelievable. When I saw the maidener three-deep outside me, I knew it was going to keep pushing forward so I had no choice than to keep the lead. It was terrific the way he just kept finding for me in the straight.
William Pike (Superstorm – 2nd)
I’ve never been so happy to run second in my life.

Craig Williams (Soul Patch – 3rd)
Delighted. Great addition of the gear change for today’s race from the barrier. He feels like he is looking forward to getting out to 10 furlongs. To chase down Alligator Blood like he did, I’m very happy with his performance.
Damien Oliver (Chenier – 4th)
He just got flattened. He did a good job to pick himself up and still run a good race but it was unfortunate.
Jamie Kah (Dalasan – 5th)
He was a bit plain.
Damian Lane (Catalyst – 6th)
The race shape turned out terrible for him. When they backed off the tempo, it put him in a sticky spot and he just raced a little greenly when I asked him. I just feel he didn’t lengthen as well (as he could). We’ll see how he pulls up and go from there but he just might need the blinkers back on.

Ethan Brown (Commodus – 7th)
I thought he ran OK considering the major step up in grade. He went with them a little bit up the straight but he just blew out late at his first time over the mile. He’s ready to win a maiden.
Michael Dee (Alabama Express – 8th)
He’s run too bad to be true. He had a nice run, travelled into the straight and then he hasn’t found off that. He felt OK but there might be an issue there. We’ll see what the vets come up with.
