Aussies Targeted To Play In England’s New 100 Ball Cricket Competition

The inaugural Hundred competition to be played in England and Wales next year is starting to take shape after the draft was completed and there were a number of aussies picked.

Glen Maxwell, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, David Warner, D’Arcy Short, Chris Lynn, Adam Zampa, Dan Christian and Nathan Coulter-Nile were all targeted to play to play in the summer competition.

Steve Smith will line up with Starc at the Fire while Warner went to the Brave and D’Arcy Short was selected by the Rockets.

Finch was picked by the Leeds-based Northern Superchargers, coached by Australian Darren Lehmann while Glenn Maxwell will join coach Shane Warne at the London Spirit.

It wasn’t all good news for the aussies as there a number of players snubbed including, Mitch Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, Shane Watson, Usman Khawaja and Travis Head.
