Both teams are in sparkling form. Adelaide has been impressive winning its past two matches while the Blues haven’t tasted defeat in 2022. The Crows are almost at full strength and they can give their home fans something to cheer about.

FREMANTLE $1.60 v GOLD COAST SUNS $2.26 – Friday, 5.10pm NORWOOD OVAL
It’s a battle between two of the most disappointing teams for 2023 and you’d hardly expect the visitors to Adelaide to be hanging off the terraces for this one. Who wins? Almost impossible to say.

RICHMOND $2.45 v SYDNEY SWANS – Friday, 8.10pm ADELAIDE OVAL
The Tigers injury list almost matches the amount of available players they have fit while the Swans scalps for 2023 are only the Suns and Hawthorn. The Swans also have an extensive injury list. They were unlucky last week but their forward line is a problem. The Tigers still have stars such as Dustin Martin and Shai Bolton and can’t be written off. They will be competitive as always.

BRISBANE LIONS $1.15 v NORTH MELBOURNE $5 – 1.10pm Mount Barker (Adelaide Hills)
This will be the first match held in the Barossa Valley at the Mount Barker Oval which can hold 7000. Brisbane have found form and the Roos still have some serious outs. Their early season form might seem along time ago by the time this match is finished.

ESSENDON $3.60 v MELBOURNE $1.27 – 4.10pm Saturday Adelaide Oval
It’s a battle of the fourth placed team Essendon and the third placed team Melbourne but as the odds suggest this is expected to be a one sided contest. The Bombers played brilliant football in the last half to defeat the Giants but Melbourne is a vastly different proposition.

PORT ADELAIDE $1.52 v WESTERN BULLDOGS $2.44 – 7.50pm Saturday Adelaide Oval
Port was plucky in their narrow win against the Swans at the SCG and they take on the Bulldogs who also had their share of luck against the Tigers. The Power have the home ground advantage but the Bulldogs have clicked into gear. Should be a tight contest but the Bulldogs look nice value.

GEELONG CATS $1.06 V WEST COAST $8 – 1.10pm Sunday Adelaide Oval
What a way for the Cats to flick the switch and find form taking on Hawthorn and the Eagles. The Eagles have struggled at their past two matches and now the Cats have found their confidence expect a mauling.

GWS GIANTS $1.43 v HAWTHORN $2.70 – 3.20pm Sunday Norwood
The Giants have been in every match but can only boast two wins. They were disappointing in the last half against the Bombers. It might take the Hawks a long time to recover from their last half against the Cats.

Gather Round finishes with the best match of the round with two of the glamour teams meeting. Collingwood was shell shocked by the Lions blitz in the second quarter and suffered a rare big loss while the Saints had little trouble defeating the Suns. It should be a tight contest.
