Our analyst is back for round 2 where he has eight bets for you to follow.

BRISBANE $1.95 V MELBOURNE $1.82 – Gabba 7.50pm FRIDAY

After four losses in a row to Melbourne, the Brisbane Lions beat them in last year’s Semi-final. The Lions were one of the biggest disappointments in Round 1 but are sure to fight back against the Demons who were superb in dismantling the Western Bulldogs in their first clash.

BET: Tri-Bet – 15 points either way

COLLINGWOOD V PORT ADELAIDE – MCG 1.45pm SATURDAY

Both teams were impressive in the opening round with sound wins. There was only six points between them late in the season last year and expect another tight contest.

ADELAIDE V RICHMOND – ADELAIDE OVAL 4.35PM SATURDAY

Adelaide were overrun by the injury-depleted Giants in their opening match while the Tigers salvaged a draw against Carlton. Early last season Adelaide shocked the Tigers when the defeated them at Adelaide Oval so they should be wary of their opposition. Richmond looks to have too much firepower. Look for Tom Lynch to have a big game.

WESTERN BULLDOGS V ST KILDA – MARVEL STADIUM 7.25pm SATURDAY

Can Ross Lyon do it again at Marvel Stadium with his injury riddled Saints? The Western Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back after being beaten by Melbourne in Round 1. This looks a great opportunity.

BET: Western Bulldogs – 13.5 points at $1.87

FREMANTLE v NORTH MELBOURNE – PERTH STADIUM 7.30pm SATURDAY

Arguably the Dockers were the most disappointing team in Round 1 with a dysfunctional forward line not functioning at all against the Saints while Alastair Clarkson pulled off a debut win against the Eagles. This looks a vastly different proposition for the Roos.

BET: Fremantle -31.5 points $1.87

SYDNEY v HAWTHORN – SCG 1.10pm SUNDAY

Sydney are the shortest-priced favourite for the round and everything looks set up for them to have a percentage-boosting win over the Hawks.

BET: Sydney -41.5 points $1.87

ESSENDON v GOLD COAST – MARVEL STADIUM 3.20pm SUNDAY

One of the more intriguing games of the round. The Bombers looked great against the Hawks while the Suns didn’t get going against Sydney.

Bet: Tri-bet- 15 points either way

WEST COAST V GWS GIANTS – PERTH STADIUM 6.20pm SUNDAY

The Giants showed great character to get up and defeat Adelaide despite having numerous injuries while the West Coast went down narrowly to North Melbourne. The Eagles are being pilloried and this gives them the chance to hit back against a depleted team. Happy to think they can get up for a win.
