Our analyst is back for another week and has found some handy bets for you to follow.

Sydney ($2.03) v Carlton ($1.75) – Friday 7.50pm, SCG

It’s a clash of two of the most disappointing teams in the AFL. With Sydney’s long injury list especially in the backline it presents an ideal opportunity for Carlton’s Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay to have a night out. Sydney is likely to win on the ball though. Sydney defeated North Melbourne via a technicality which is hardly ideal form. Carlton will find this a lot easier than playing the Lions, the Bulldogs and the Pies in recent weeks.

The Bet: Don’t.

St Kilda ($1.23) v Hawthorn ($4) – Saturday 1.45pm Marvel Stadium

The Saints who are fifth play the Hawks who are 16th. The Hawks thrashed the Eagles but that’s hardly something to write home about. The Hawks have won one of their past nine at Marvel and they have lost their past five matches against St Kilda.

Bet: St Kilda -27.5 points at $1.87

Melbourne $1.35 v Fremantle $3.05 – Saturday 2.10pm MCG

Melbourne will be looking to bounce back after its narrow loss to Port Adelaide. They will be without Clayton Oliver which is a major blow to them. Fremantle have hit form with three wins in a row. They represent value.

Bet: Fremantle the win at $3.05

Geelong v GWS Giants – Saturday 4.35pm GMHBA Stadium

The Cats injury list seems to be growing longer by the week but the good news for them is that the Giants are matching them.

The Cats should break its two game losing streak but it might be a bit harder than they expect.

Bet: Giants +40.5 points at $1.87

Gold Coast ($2.45) v Western Bulldogs ($1.52) – Saturday 7.25pm TIO Oval, Darwin

The Bulldogs are meeting every challenge as they aim to make it six wins in a row. The Suns had been playing well before being outclassed by the Lions last week. The Bulldogs have won their past six matches in Darwin and their past four against the Suns.

Bet: Don’t

West Coast Eagles ($9.25) v Essendon ($1.05) – Saturday 7.40pm Optus Stadium

The Bombers broke their losing streak with a last minute win against the Tigers. They get the free hit here against the Eagles and they won’t waste it.

Bet: Eagles -49.5 points at $1.87

Richmond ($2.04) v Port Adelaide ($1.73) – Sunday 1.10pm MCG

The Tigers did what they specialise in and that’s lose a close one last week against the Bombers. They will have the new coach bounce and they invariably fire up against the Power. They have won three of their past four against them. The Power fought hard to get over the Demons at home in a great win and they have won their past six matches.

Bet: Richmond the win at $2.04

Collingwood ($1.04) v North Melbourne ($10) – Sunday 3.20pm Marvel Stadium

The marauding top of the ladder Magpies get a chance to gain some more percentage against the Roos who were gallant in their unlucky loss against the Swans.

Bet: Collingwood -53.5 points at $1.87

Adelaide v Brisbane – Sunday 4.40pm Adelaide Oval

The Crows put in their worst performance for the year against the Bulldogs. With Taylor Walker returning from injury and also back playing at Adelaide Oval expect them to challenge the Lions who are playing as well as any team in the competition.
