A huge 2nd vs 3rd blockbuster awaits the MCG this Sunday! Both teams have shown fantastic resilience to be where they are after 16 rounds this season considering the injury toll both have endured.
Collingwood have had great success adopting a 1 tall forward line. American basketball import Mason Cox has been an influential focal point for the pies up front. Small-medium forwards De Goey (pictured),Hoskin-Elliot and Elliot have been deadly! The ability to mix and match players rotating through the midfield is probably their greatest strength at the moment.
After a flying start to the season the Eagles are frantically looking for scoring options after losing twin spearheads Darling and Kennedy to injury. They are going to rely on the difficult challenge of their midfield dominating in order limit access to Collingwood’s rejuvenated forward line and provide plenty of opportunities for their own injury ravaged attack.
Key injuries and the fact that West Coast haven’t beaten Collingwood at the MCG in over 23 years is too much to ignore when predicting this one.
