AFL: It’s Getting Cloudier

3 years ago - Sportingbase AFL: It’s Getting Cloudier Image
As the AFL season hurtles to its conclusion it’s getting harder and harder to work out which team will win the premiership.

Three weeks ago to some, it was a foregone conclusion that Collingwood would win the flag as they were $2.75 favourite with PlayUp.

Since then they have lost to Carlton and Hawthorn and they will now be without their star and chief playmaker Nick Daicos for six weeks.

They are still favourite at $3.40 favourite with PlayUp but it has been the Demons who have firmed into being a clear second favourite at $3.75 after they were $4.50 last week.

Melbourne is in good form and they will relish the chance to get to play at the MCG and try and win a premiership.

Port Adelaide and Brisbane have also battled in recent weeks.

The team in the best form is Carlton who have won their past seven matches. They have done this despite being hampered by injuries to key players.

They are $9 with PlayUp for the Premiership.

The team which could come from left field is the Western Bulldogs who are $18.

In 2016 they could on a roll late in the season and went on to win the flag. Could they do it again?
