AFL: Is The Pressure Mounting For Melbourne & Carlton?

As the half-way stage of the AFL season gets closer pressure is mounting on several teams and none more so than Carlton and Melbourne who clash on Friday night.
The Blues only win in their past six games was against the Eagles. Their ineptness when kicking for goal must be seen to be believed.
If they could fix that up their spot on the ladder would be much higher but it’s as if the players are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders when they shoot for goal.
Melbourne have lost their past two matches to two of the AFL’s in-form teams in Fremantle and Port Adelaide narrowly but they will be entering Friday night’s match against Carlton without one of their stars Clayton Oliver.
When the Demons are at full strength they are close to unbeatable but when they are not they are vulnerable.
The Blues need a circuit breaker otherwise they will end up in the bottom portion of the ladder.
Melbourne is a $1.31 to win against the Blues who are $3.25 with TopSport for Friday night’s clash at the MCG.
The pressure is also starting to mount on Geelong. They have a long injury list but they have now lost their past three matches to match what they did in the opening three rounds.
They play the Western Bulldogs at Marvel which shapes as a danger game. At TopSport the Bulldogs are $1.63 with the Cats at $2.20.
