AFL: Is The Flag A Three Team Race?

As we enter Round 17 it’s becoming apparent that the top three sides on the ladder appear to be head and shoulders above their rivals.

The three teams are Collingwood, Port Adelaide and Brisbane.

Play-Up has Collingwood at $3.30. Port Adelaide at $4 and Brisbane at $6 to win the flag.

As a result the top spot at the end of the year carries some cache as that would mean whoever finishes in that spot plays the fourth place team in the first week of the finals while the other two play each other.

As Collingwood and Port Adelaide are two games clear of Brisbane its between them.

All of the aforementioned teams have so many strengths.

Collingwood has a great defence and on ball contingent.

Port is strong all over the ground while Brisbane with the inclusion of Dunkley, Ashcroft, Fletcher and Wilmot are a far superior team to last year.

Melbourne have drifted off the pace as they are struggling with its forward line and kicking for goal.

The wildcard to make the eight is the Giants who have won four out of their past five games and were unlucky in their loss. They have a good run home and can push hard to make a finals appearance.

The Giants are $5.50 to make the eight with Play-Off.

CHANCES ARE YOU’RE ABOUT TO LOSE.
