2025 Kansas City Chiefs Projected Finish, Key Signings and Fantasy Stars

In the 16th of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Kansas City Chiefs.
Key Off-Season Acquisitions
The Chiefs made two significant offseason acquisitions in the offseason. One addition came on offense and the other on defense. In is left tackle Jaylon Moore of Detroit, Michigan, and in is cornerback Kristian Fulton of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Moore, who is 6’4″, 310 pounds, signed a two-year contract worth $30 million with the Kansas City Chiefs. He has spent the last four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.
Fulton signed a two-year deal worth $20 million. He is joining his third NFL team after four seasons with the Tennessee Titans (2020 to 2023), and one season with the Los Angeles Rams (2024). In 2024, Fulton had 51 combined tackles (39 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles), three tackles for a loss, one interception for 29 yards, and seven pass deflections.

Fantasy Star
Travis Kelce of Westlake, Ohio took a step back a little statistically in 2025. He had 97 catches for 823 yards and three touchdowns. That was the least number of receiving yards and the least number of touchdown catches he has had since his rookie season of 2013 when he only played one game. Still, he is the 10th best tight end in the NFL and continues to be the most reliable option for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Projected Finish
There is a lot of talk that the Denver Broncos might pass the Chiefs this season into first place in the AFC West. The reasons are because of the progression of Bo Nix and their emerging defense. I still like the Chiefs to win the AFC West for one more year. There are three reasons why. Andy Reid is an unbelievable coach from a tactical perspective, Mahomes is an elite quarterback when the game is on the line, and we are still talking about a Chiefs team that reached the Super Bowl a year ago.
