2025 Atlanta Falcons Projected Finish, Key Signings & Fantasy Stars

In the second of a 32-part series, we are featuring all National Football League teams with a prediction of where each team will finish within their division, key off-season acquisitions and their top fantasy stars. Here are the Atlanta Falcons.

Key Off-Season Acquisitions

The Falcons made two changes on their defensive line in 2025. They signed linebacker Leonard Floyd of Chauncey, Georgia to a one-year deal worth $10 million on March 13, and then linebacker Divine Deablo of Winston-Salem, North Carolina to a two-year deal worth $14 million on March 14.

Floyd is joining his fifth NFL team after four seasons with the Chicago Bears (2016 to 2019), three seasons with the Los Angeles Rams (2020 to 2022), and one season each with the Buffalo Bills (2023) and San Francisco 49ers (2024). The 2022 Super Bowl champion with the Rams, had a solid season last year in San Francisco. He had 42 combined tackles (25 solo tackles and 17 assisted tackles), 16 quarterback hits, eight tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, one pass deflection and one forced fumble. The forced fumble came in a 30-13 49ers win over the New England Patriots on September 29, and the pass deflection came in a 23-20 49ers win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 10.

Deablo is joining his second NFL franchise after four seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders. In 2024, Deablo had 63 combined tackles (35 solo tackles and 28 assisted tackles), four tackles for a loss, four quarterback hits, two pass deflections and one sack.

Fantasy Stars

The Falcons have two players ranked in the top 10 at their position in fantasy football. At running back, Pro Bowler Bijan Robinson of Tucson, Arizona is ranked fourth. In 2024, Robinson had 304 rushes for 1456 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. He also had 61 catches for 431 receiving yards and one touchdown. The touchdown catch was for six yards and came in a 31-26 Falcons win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 27. At wide receiver, Drake London of Mooropark, Florida had 100 catches for 1271 receiving yards and nine touchdown catches.

Projected Finish

There is tension in the Falcons lineup at the moment at the quarterback position. It appears Kirk Cousins is going to be a backup quarterback to start the year and is not too happy about it. At this time, it appears Michael Penix Jr. will be the starting quarterback despite the fact Cousins is in the second year of a contract where he is making $45 million this season. As long as there is animosity, I don’t like the Falcons winning the NFC South. I think they will be second behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
